Don, I didn't see all of your show, but enough of it to really feel bad for these people. Our justice system is so messed up. I live in Weld County and I am an example of the system here being all screwed up. I spent nine and a half months and my wife eleven in jail here for a crime we did not commit. I thank God for 2 awesome attorneys and 4 children who did not give in to the badgering of Evans PD, the DA, And Social Services. It still took over a year to get my kids back from Social Services, but at least true justice and our innocence did prevail. There is a saying in the DA's office here that "in Weld County, even innocent people get probation". That is a very sad and disturbing sign of a legal system in ANY community.

Great film. I thought you humanized the defendants and showed the hell they went through. The interviews with the "victims" were excellent, since they showed how these kinds of cases can happen. I would have liked to see some interviews with the social workers and police officers who did those interviews with the kids back then, but I'm sure they weren't anxious to talk.
You would think we would have learned by now to be more skeptical of these kinds of outrageous cases that are based on outrageous things that kids say. But there are a handful of cases going on right now in east Texas, the so-called "Mineola swingers club" trials, which prove that we haven't learned a thing. Two innocent men and an innocent woman have already been sent to prison for life--no physical evidence, just the words of five children who say the adults ran a child-sex ring--with four more trials to go, including the next beginning on May 11. You can read all about it at texasmonthly.com, a story I wrote called "Across the Line."
Again, congratulations--you guys knocked it out of the park.
Hi Don
Enjoyed watching Witch Hunt immensely and was tugged in many directions while watching as I lived the horror of having my life and my Families Destinies rearrainged by the false accusation made by the Wife I was divorcing ,for her infidelity back in 1989. In fact the begining of John Stolls story sounds just like mine! Fortunately after Several months in jail she dissappeared long enough for the prosecutor to not be able to prosecute the case and after 4 months in Jail I was finally releasd. But the Damage was done and she was able to flee the authorities long enough (2 yrs)to Brainwash the children to believing the acusations. So while I had no long sentence connected with my accusation even those who escape that, never get away unscathed as we always carry the mental scars of the event, and to this day 20 yrs later I've only regained the unanimous confidence of 2 of my 3 Children. However one Child who was 4 at that time and who was the Daughter that my wife accused me of molesting has lived her entire lifein the "system " as the victim. And so my question for you is during your research did you come upon any agencies out there that work with those persons who when they were adolecants were "used" as a legal weapon and if there are can you forward me info telling me a little about those agencies?
